Elon Musk just announced a new AI platform called Grok and it’s a direct competitor to ChatGPT.

Similar to ChatGPT, Grok is a large language model and AI chatbot. You can ask it a question and it will give you a text based response.

According to Elon, “Grok AI assistant will be provided as part of 𝕏 Premium+, so I recommend signing up for that.” Just $16/month via web.

Two things that make it different. It has extremely up to date information. It is trained on data from the x platform that Elon Musk owns.

They also claim to give you responses to questions that other platforms like ChatGPT refuse to answer. And it has a sense of humor.

This version of Grok is called Grok-1. And trained on 33 billion parameters. Grok-1 has a context length of 8,192 tokens, similar to GPT 3.5

In the initial benchmark comparison, it is outperforming Llama 2 and GPT 3.5 in four categories.
